The hotel is located near three major universities, offering a vibrant atmosphere with many cheap restaurants and nightlife options. It is also conveniently located near subway and airport transportation.
The hotel had issues with the internet connection, making it difficult to download emails or use services in the room.

Y Hotel in Shinchon lays directly in a region influenced by three major universities. There are many cheap restaurants around and a lot of night- life for those who like to have it. The main (outer cirle) subway line is about 5 minutes to walk from the hotel which allows reaching almost every point in the citiy within a reasonable time. The airport bus stops close by as well as the airport train which stops just a short distance away ( one station with the green line, in Honggik university).
The Internet is extremely slow in the hotel. The Wifi offered 2 byte download rate which made downloading an e-Mail with attachment becoming an adventure. The Lan in the room did not work so that a lot of services provided in the room also did not work. I asked various times for fixing but it seems this already was too difiicult. The hotel is a love motel which generally is not a problem. It was quiet (from inside the hotel) most of the time. A disadvantage of this hotel type I haven't hbeen aware of nbefore booking is that there is no shelf in the room and also, not necessarily a table to work at. Also, the hotel is not used to write invoices. I needed to bully the personell in order to get anything that showed the number of nights I stayed and the price per night/whole price including tax. As for business travelling people, such an invoice is a necessity for refunding. The noise outside the hotel sometimes in unbearable. But this is no fault of the hotel, it is the place with the really big rotary around and all those shops which spam the region with music and adverticement. In the beginning I had a deluxe room but after 4 nights, they asked me to change the room. Here, the hotel did not offer me a deluxe room anymore, but an ordinary small standard room (not the smallest size but standard size. They dod not speak English engough to explain that what they offered me was not what I paid for. However, I anyways had to pay a higher rent than any person going just there and booking a night directly.

It's a love hotel, poor english staff, and the room is not same as we felt in the website. We booked the deluxe room, but it is quite small room, and not clean. I dont want to go there again

The location of the hotel was fantastic, being situated near three major universities. This meant there were plenty of cheap restaurants and a buzzing nightlife scene. the hotel was conveniently located near a subway station and airport transportation, making it easy to explore the city and travel to and from the airport. The fact that there was free water available at the reception was also a nice touch.
There were a few negative aspects of my stay. the Wi-Fi in the hotel was extremely slow, which made it difficult to download emails and use online services.

It is in a good location, only 100 meters from the Sinchon station, and it is quite near to all interesting sites of Seoul
Difficult to find, because it is not located on a main street

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the hotel facilities were impressive. The location was perfect, with easy access to transportation, including the subway and airport bus. We loved the vibrant atmosphere of the area, with plenty of cheap restaurants and nightlife to explore. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the free water at the reception was a nice touch.
Nothing not to love.

The location is very good, close to line 2 of subway (which takes you pretty much to several good locations in the city) and it's in a very agitated neighborhood Sinchon, where you have restaurants opened 24hrs. It's also very close to the bus that takes you to the airport Incheon (bus n° 6002 stop Sinchon Bus Station). The hotel looks very new and the rooms are beautifully decorated.
We would never stay in this hotel again, because: - Room is not cleaned properly. We found an used condom on the floor of our bedroom in the 1st day, which during our stay of 4 days, was never removed! Even though the bed was made every day by the hotel. We found it so disgusting that we couldn't manage to remove it ourselves and just kept far from it. - We didn't feel it was a safe hotel, staff was very strange, couples were coming in and out of the hotel in the middle of the night and they were cleaning the rooms also in the middle of the night, it felt like a love motel for the region and they advertise outside Korea as a normal hotel. - We run out of toilet paper and they never refilled it. - We definitely felt the staff was not helpful at all and we didn't feel comfortable with it. - The location is good, but the hotel is on a hill, so if you have a heavy luggage, it can be inconvenient. It wasn't an issue for us, but it's just FYI in case.

The hotel is conveniently located near several major universities, so there are plenty of affordable restaurants and a vibrant nightlife in the area. It's also just a short walk to the subway station, making it easy to explore the city. they offered free water at the reception, which was a nice touch.
The soundproofing in the hotel was quite poor, so I could hear some noise from neighboring rooms that made it difficult to sleep. the cleanliness of the room was also subpar, with lingering smells and traces of previous guests.
